ABOUT
Rafael de Carvalho Bueno received his BE in Environmental Engineering in 2016 from Federal University of Paraná, Brazil, and Institute of Technology Tralee, Ireland. He received a M. Sc. Degree in Environmental Engineering from Federal University of Paraná, Brazil. He is a PhD student in Environmental Engineering at UFPR.

His research interests are focused on the computational fluid dynamic, with special emphasis on dynamic of stratified flow. His major interests are related to internal gravity wave (in ocean and closed water basins) and gravity current motions.

Internal waves in controled environments
Internal solitary wave tunnelling, new technology to detect internal waves in tanks, Internal waves generated by topography, internal seiches generated by wind events, ressuspension of BBL caused by internal solitary waves and solitary waves excite by gavity currents.

Internal waves in fresh water basins
Internal seiches excited in reservoir and lakes by wind events, degeneration of internal seiches, mixing and chemical, physical and biological effects caused by internal waves motion, internal waves excited in ice-covered lakes, and effects of internal waves near the lakeshore.
Gravity currents and intrusion
Gravity currents in unstratified and stratified system with different roughness bottom, interaction between gravity current and sediment, effect on the water density and mixing.
